Pakistan made a strong impression at the Malaysia 2026 Barebow Asia Championship, as two archers from Shaheen Archery Club represented the country with distinction in one of Asia’s growing barebow archery competitions.

The championship, held at the Shah Alam National Sports Complex in Selangor, Malaysia, brought together barebow archers from across Asia. Pakistan’s contingent featured Arafat Ahmed and Muhammad Jameel, who competed in the men’s Barebow category, while Jameel also participated in the 50+ Masters category.

Both archers delivered commendable performances and carried Pakistan’s flag with pride on the international stage. Their participation reflected the growing strength, commitment, and potential of Pakistani archers in barebow competition.

For Arafat Ahmed, the Malaysia event marked his third consecutive international tournament appearance during 2025–2026, highlighting his consistency and dedication to representing Pakistan at major regional competitions. Muhammad Jameel, competing in the Masters category for archers above 50 years of age, also earned appreciation for his performance and sportsmanship.

The participation of Shaheen Archery Club’s archers in Malaysia was an important milestone and would encourage more athletes in Pakistan to pursue archery at a competitive level.

With continued exposure, training, and international participation, Pakistan’s barebow archers are expected to build on this momentum and make a stronger mark in upcoming regional and international championships.
